- Break bread or roll into morsels so as to appear dainty.
- A young lady should be expected to shine in the art of conversation, but not too brightly.
Funny how some things never change. I still try to shine dimly during conversation while eating crumbs to appear dainty.

To spare you the trivialities of the online world, I will tell you that I genuinely laughed out loud at this comment. You may be dainty eating your crumbs but you'd drown in that hat.
