Happiness is perusing the new book acquisitions at the Dal library. Irritation is finding that all books on Africa are titled along these lines:
- Africa: Bad Things Happen
- Africa: People Kill Each Other for No Good Reason
- Africa: Hopeless and Suicidal
- Africa: Why the West is Better
- Africa: White Man's True Burden
- Africa: Disease Comes from There
- Africa: Be Afraid
Today's joyful discovery was titled "The Trouble with the Congo." That's a phrase you'd use about your pesky, demented cousin. Oh the trouble with him is that he doesn't WANT to succeed in life. Fuck off with these horrible titles! If I was to write a book on Africa I would title it "Africa Doesn't Want or Need A Title."
