But then, fellow rationalists, why did Obama do what he did when he could've done other things? Why health care? Why not unemployment? Why not get out of Iraq? Why fuck around about Guantanamo?
If anything, Guantanamo was the green mamba emblem of Bush's lethality. Guantanamo made Katrina look dainty, and the hunt for WMD's in Iraq look like Easter. Why he would choose to rescind this particular promise is beyond me.
